Implant supported bridge: cost and options in the UK
Missing three or four or more teeth in a row? An implant supported bridge in the UK replaces them all using just two implants. Fewer implants than replacing each tooth individually. No filing down healthy teeth like a traditional bridge requires. Permanent, stable, and indistinguishable from natural teeth once fitted.
At Love Implants in Colchester, Dr Andrew Fennell has placed over 7,000 implants in 20 years. He'll work out at the free consultation whether a bridge is right for your case, or whether individual implants or a denture would serve you better.
Want an affordable way to upgrade your look?
What an implant-supported bridge actually is.
When an implant supported bridge is the right choice.
You're missing two, three, or more teeth in a row.
You want to avoid filing down the healthy teeth either side of the gap.
You'd rather use two or three implants rather than three or four individual ones.
The bone in your jaw is healthy enough to support the implants (the free CT scan confirms this).
- If you’re missing teeth in different positions (not in a row), multiple individual implants usually work better.
- If you’ve lost most or all teeth in an arch, All-on-4 or an implant retained denture is the route.
What happens during treatment.
1. Free consultation with Andrew. Meet the dentist who'll be doing the work. He examines your mouth, checks how many teeth are missing, and explains the options.
2. Free CT scan. A 3D scan of your jaw shows where the implants can go and whether you have enough bone.
3. Treatment plan and accurate cost. Andrew lays out what's involved, how long it takes, and what it costs. No surprises.
4. Implant placement. Where existing teeth need to come out, they come out and the implants go in at the same appointment, in 80% of cases.
5. Healing. The implants integrate with the bone over a few months. You wear a temporary bridge during this time.
6. Permanent bridge fitted. Digital scans (no goo) are sent to the technician. The final bridge is made and fitted to the implants.
Most cases take three to six months from start to finish.
What does an implant supported bridge cost in the UK?
UK pricing for a three-tooth implant-supported bridge typically ranges from £5,000 to £9,000 at private clinics. Costs vary based on: how many teeth are being replaced (three to six); how many implants are needed (usually two, sometimes three); whether bone grafting is required; the crown material (zirconia); whether the bridge is in the front or back of the mouth. At Love Implants, an implant supported bridge costs roughly half the UK average for equivalent work. See the full price list for exact figures, or get an accurate quote at your free consultation.
Why Love Implants for an implant supported bridge.
- Single point of accountability. Andrew handles everything: assessment, planning, placement, fitting. No surgical referrals out and restorative referrals back. One dentist, one plan, one person responsible if anything needs adjusting.
- Same-day placement where possible. In most cases, failing teeth come out and implants go in at the same appointment. The temporary bridge fits on the same day.
- Digital scans, not impressions. Your bridge is made from a 3D scan of your mouth. Faster, more accurate, and no impression trays gagging you.
- Half the UK average price. UK-trained, GDC-registered, fully insured. Same materials, same standards as private clinics charging twice as much.
What happens next
Book a free consultation with Andrew. He’ll examine your mouth, look at exactly which teeth are missing, take a free CT scan , and tell you whether an implant supported bridge is the right answer for your case. If a bridge isn’t right, he’ll tell you what is. Sometimes multiple individual implants work better. Sometimes an implant retained denture is more sensible. Sometimes All-on-4 is the route when more teeth are affected.
